Hello and welcome to my website - for all piggies past and present
I have kept guinea pigs for many years but things have escalated recently with an explosion in numbers! I started with pet piggies but have now got a good selection of Teddies along with a pair of Abyssinians, a pair of Peruvians and an Alpaca named Bob.
I grew up in Ramsgate, Kent and lived for 8 years just outside Sturry, Canterbury. Last year, however, my husband and I made the decision to relocate to Guernsey taking all the piggies with us.
Having adopted a few new piggies in 2011 my addiction spiralled somewhat. The arrival of Fizzy's babies was a wonderful experience and I have taken up breeding as a little bit of a hobby.
I have made some wonderful friends along the way who have all been able to provide help and advice when needed.
The move, whilst hectic, has given me time. I am currently studying to become a Rodent Health Advisor through The British Association of Rotentology.
Whilst I do have quite a few piggies living with me they aren't all suitable for breeding so I do not expect to have babies available very often but please check back for any updates and please get in touch if you might be interested in any babies available.
I am registered with the British Cavy Council. Please see my links page for further information relating to the British Cavy Council. Ruth's Cavies in Canterbury is now to be known as Canterbury Cariad Cavies.
I am also a member of the Teddy Cavy Club. Details of which can be found on my links page.
I'm always taking pictures of the piggies and I would like to share them with anyone who is interested so feel free to take a look around!
